Ásgrímur Eiríksson has been appointed Production Manager at Njörður, an Icelandic technology company working to establish the production of magnesium metal from seawater through a new Icelandic process.
Njörður was founded in 2023 and is developing a new approach to producing magnesium metal from seawater, with the ambition of building a sustainable industrial platform rooted in Icelandic ingenuity, clean energy and marine resources.
Ásgrímur is a mechanical engineer with a master’s degree from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where he specialised in maritime and ocean engineering. He brings extensive experience in technical operations, engineering design and the development of complex industrial systems.
